Pronounced - (pee-ko-lee-no) was founded to improve play at home by two dads with a passion for creating great products. With the help of friends, family and a global network of designers, P'kolino has created play products that are beloved worldwide for their Playful style and Smart Functionality.
P'kolino's innovative line of toys, play furnishings, art supplies, décor and more offer children of all ages playfully smart solutions to improving play at home.

Through the insight and passion of our founders and designers P'kolino has developed a playfully smart design philosophy. "Playful" means designing products that have a fun and engaging style that children are drawn to but that parents can also appreciate for their aesthetic value. "Smart" means designing products that have superior functionality to safely support children's developmental needs and extend the life of the product through multiple uses. P'kolino was founded in 2004 and is currently located in Dania Beach, Florida.

Keekaroo
In 1967, I was a student researching and developing a new type of therapeutic equipment for children. This research was both exciting and close to home. My daughter was born with Down syndrome and I wanted more than anything to help her live a comfortable life. From this research, a company called Tumble Forms was developed, making large colorful, playful, and soft to touch rolls, wedges and balls.

In 1988, I stepped away from Tumble Forms and started experimenting with different techniques to create these soft to touch products. In the midst of my research, I discovered many children in the juvenile market could benefit from these products as well. I began looking at the high chairs available and noticed that the seat cushions were not offering enough support. Then I began to look at the high chairs themselves. They did not provide enough growth to let the family use the chair for an extended time period.

I quickly enlisted the help of my son Jamie, daughter Katie and innovative designer Ross Nadeau, and soon the Keekaroo Height Right High Chair was born. After getting the Height Right High Chair to its peak performance, I switched gears back to finding the perfect seat cushions. With the help of our new designer Ross, the Keekaroo Comfort Cushions, Infant Insert and Café Booster Seat were created. Each seating solution offers a more comfortable seating experience, more support and a soft, easy to clean surface for mom and dad.

2008 marked the launch of not just a new cushion line that proved successful, but a new innovation that will allow Keekaroo to bring more creative products and solutions for your child's everyday needs.

Current CPSIA Compliance Information

In recent months, there has been a lot of information in the media regarding consumer product safety laws in the United States. In August 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) enacted several changes to current consumer product safety laws. Effective February 10, 2009, lead content in any children's product must not exceed 600 parts per million (ppm) by weight for any part of the product. Effective August 2009, the lead limit will be decreased again to 300 ppm total lead content. From the day we opened our doors in May of 2002, all of our products have been in compliance with CPSIA regulations. As soon as we were informed of the new laws for 2009, our entire line was re-tested again and all were found to be in compliance with the new standards as well.
